In what has been some of the fiercest hostilities seen in the region for years, Israeli air strikes on May 15, 2021, levelled a building that wiped out nearly the entire family of Mohammad al-Hadidi. His five-month-old son was the sole survivor in the building, but his wife and four other sons died in the attack in Al-Shati, also known as Beach camp, a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Gaza.
