Soothe your sole with the view at our largest exhibit: The million-gallon Open Sea, featuring animals adapted to life in the vast open ocean, the largest habitat on Earth. Swimming by are yellowfin tuna, Pacific sardines, scalloped hammerhead sharks, pelagic stingrays, green sea turtles and dolphinfish (or mahi mahi). The water is heated to around 70 degrees to mimic the warm waters of the California current, located some 60 miles off the coast and home to this pelagic magic. If you're wondering, the bubble curtain is on so that the animals know where the window is while the Aquarium's closed. Thanks for watching everyone!
