GAME FILE: NA Composed by Masaharu Iwata (岩田 匡治) (copyright 1990) This is one of the two themes for Sheltem composed in the entire series (a different theme for him appears in "Might and Magic III Theme"), even though this music was never actually used in the game itself. In the original version of Might and Magic 1, there was no final boss or battle with Sheltem, but the original concept for the NES/FC version was to have Sheltem as a boss (which may have happened at the point when King Alamar's true identity is revealed). But this idea was bafflingly scrapped before the final version of was released. However, both the music for the final battle as well as the sprites for his encounter are still stored in the game data, and the final battle music was even included on the official arranged soundtrack album, where it is titled "Sheltem’s Theme". * * * * * Recorded from an actual NES.
