On May 4th, 2020 the central government allowed the sale of liquor across all zones in India after a month-long shut. This lead to a Chaos outside liquor stores across India. On Tuesday May 5th 2020, the Delhi government announced a 70% hike in the price of liquor across categories. After Delhi, the Andhra Pradesh government also hiked liquor prices by 75%.
