@actionforanimals486210 months ago Sinead deserves an apology from Joe Pesci, from Madonna and from the Catholic church, and anyone else who mocked and attacked her when she took the brave stand against the Catholic church and the pope. 119

@kayebee479410 months ago After Sinead died, this plain controversial info became a recognition of bravery. She needed this the most when she was alive.
    Rest easy, Sinead. 😢❤

@sherylhyatt306510 months ago I was watching SNL that night and as soon as she held up that photo, I knew she'd get ripped apart. I also believed she was absolutely right! A very brave act by a brave and beautiful soul, gone too soon. RIP Sinead. 💙
I do believe that while Pope Francis has been the best thing for the church, he could do even more.

@IntheMOMENT2217310 months ago Thank you, Sinead for being unapologetically youself in a world full of sheep and for attempting to maintain sanity in a mentally disordered western society. Thank you, for following your instincts and not the money. Thank you for the courage you showcased through your vulnerability, for being a true artist, and for standng by your convictions. In the end, it all goes back to the dust. People don't usually honor the rebels until after they're gone unfortunately. You always deserved your flowers. Not the fake ones given by the media, but the real flowers that you can touch, smell, nurture, and embrace. You deserve your own garden of love. That will be found in heaven. Bless you Sinead, and may peace and joy surround your beautiful and fearless soul. ... 46

@stephenmurphy221210 months ago RIP Sinéad. 🙏🕊️ One of Ireland’s greatest singers. 🙌🇮🇪 She was not afraid to stand up for what she believed in and I admired her for that. 🙏 There was documentary film about her life released last year titled, “Nothing Compares”. Go watch it. ... 85

@imalwaysright10 months ago She’d had so much trauma and was ahead of her time. Did what nobody else would have the courage to do, and got cancelled for it. That’s the real cancel culture. Done by the ones who started it and pretend to be victims of it now ... 21

@elhadjiamadoujohnson416610 months ago She stood up the most powerful institution on earth 🌍 that allows rapists and child predators to thrive in its midst. Ripping the picture of the leader of that institution who didn’t do anything about it should have never been controversial; to the contrary, it should have been embraced by anyone who has a sliver of a moral compass. By being “controversial “ she shed the light on the evil of the Catholic Church and the cravenness of the western society as a whole. May ALLAH ALMIGHTY opens the Gates of Heaven for her. Ameeen!!! ... 20

@kyletoledo109510 months ago To preface, I'm a Christian. I'm so amazed by her bravery to sacrifice her career to reveal truth. It's abysmal what she had to go through. The absolute hypocrisy of those who claim to believe in God. I don't know how much she did to combat her aggressors but I hope the trauma she had gone through as a child from Christians did not sway her towards looking at God in the same manner. Although it's understandable why she would if she did. But God loves you so much. What happened to Jesus Christ shows it and that's where us Christians have to come back to. ... 28

@davidalmeida299110 months ago First of all, believing in god is just a primitive superstitious impulse, a way to deal with issues we can’t control, like death. Secondly, the Catholic Church has done more harm than good throughout History. Lastly, Sinnead was a beautiful human being and a great brave artist. R.I.P. Sinnead and thank you for sharing your pain and wisdom 🙏 ... 9

@autumn1111555519 months ago The Magdalene laundry she was in was actually no longer a Magdalene laundry but a reform school. She also has said in interviews that it was not all bad. She said the nuns there were nice and they got her a guitar to encourage her musical talents. What she didn’t like was that when a girl there misbehaved they had to sleep in the adjoining nursing home, where she would hear the old people yelling and moaning, and that frightened her. I can see where that would be psychologically disturbing for a teenager. But she has said she was not physically or sexually abused at the school ...

Fame was kind to her and LONG before the "me too" movement. So very sad. 😢 ...

@dangermouse66879 months ago She was a beautiful woman who had a powerful voice, but who was also very troubled. She like Katie Price and Kerri Katona and others are given way too much air time. Most of their behaviour should just be ignored. Maybe thrn they might get the help they need away from the spotlight. Instead, regardless of behaviour, they are lauded and held up as role models.
