Back in mid-December 2019, as part of my "4th Quarter 2019" Food Challenge Tour, I traveled from Louisville, Kentucky to Eau Claire, Wisconsin for an ice cream challenge, and then to the Minneapolis / St Paul Twin Cities area of Minnesota for more food challenges. For challenge event #4, I went to Lock and Dam Eatery in Hastings, Minnesota which is southeast of the Twin Cities area. For this challenge, I had to finish Lock and Dam Eatery's 6lb Cheesy Mega Burrito Challenge filled with chicken, beef, rice, beans, healthy vegetables, sour cream, and more, all topped with chili con queso and a jalapeno cream sauce. In front of a big and much appreciated crowd, I had 30 minutes to finish and win my $26 meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on their Wall of Fame. They have a 24-inch burrito. It's filled with your choice of chicken, beef, or pork carnitas, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese. Then they wrap it all up and it's topped with chili con queso, chili con carne, and a little melted cheese. It comes out to about 5-6 pounds. They bring it out to you and you have 30 minutes. If you finish the burrito in 30 minutes without any help, you will get the $26 meal free and your picture on their challenge Wall of Fame, and also a t-shirt that says, "I beat the challenge". It's the only food challenge available in Hastings, Minnesota. Give it a try if interested and good luck!! For this burrito challenge, you can just walk in and try it, but you may want to call and schedule your challenge ahead of time so they can be prepared.
