A “ “ old woman driving a truck who honked me when I was trying to park in a spot that I waiting patiently for five minutes. I honked back, rolled down my window and told her that I had waited for the spot. She was shocked to encounter a fluent Asian American who could actually tell her to back off without using profanity. She threw up her hands, and motioned me to park. Sometimes it’s necessary to put people in their place. ...7

I emphasize with you, really, but I can't help but think that there is a better way of dealing with this. Also, just want to point out that you did that on the basis that he would turn out to be a harmless asshole and there would be no follow-up. Would you do the same in a dangerous neighborhood in America? Would you risk getting stabbed or getting your ass-kicked just to show some random dude who is the boss? ...9

@spartawelly58638 months agoI understand you're upset which it ok but i think if it were me i would have let it go....my family has been in arab street for more than 5 generations even before it was called that and in singapore arabs dont really have much of a say (since indians hate us for the past and none islamic south east asians see as a colonizers) you tend to keep your head down....i emplore you as a fellow singaporian to ignore white trash talkers because it just leads to unecessary drama which we dont like...and exacly why arab street is very chill in singapore❤❤ ...1
