Trying rock (mineral) wool as Orchid medium - Not sure about this one

Today we try out a medium that I have seen a few times in the orchid pots that I purchased and with orchids online, rock wool! ▼▼▼More info below!▼▼▼ First of all, this has to be one of the trickiest media to use, as you need to take some safety precautions. read more about it here https://www.maximumyield.com/definition/188/rockwool-stonewool and here https://www.maximumyield.com/stonewool-dos-and-donts/2/1333 Even if this medium passed the TDS and pH meter, I unfortunately have one.. million.. major issues with things being unsafe. I do seem to over worry about things, so the fact that mineral wool can be irritant and requires a degree of preparation and caution is a pretty big let down. It remains to be seen if the orchid performance will make up for it! As a top layer I chose an inorganic one, volcanic rock from the construction store. This is inert as well and not at all irritant. It is however not a good replacement for LECA or seramis.
