I use a variety of materials in my art journals, but I have a special spot in my heart for collage especially magazine collage. I like telling visual stories and being creative while getting my hands covered in glue. I also like to add paint, pens, markers and just what ever I feel like to my pages. I just go with it. This is my happy place. Also, terms are ever evolving in this space, and I'm not big on labels. So, I usually call my project an art journal or a collage journal. However, some call them gluebooks (glue books? two words? lol), scrapbooks, smash books, junk journals, and a variety of other things. It's all good to me. I don't care about following specific rules and I'm allergic to gatekeeping.
